These are organizations currently working with the communities hardest hit by the earthquake. Choose the one you identify with most.
If you decide to donate on other platforms, remember to check that the campaign is secure: always look up the organization’s official website directly in your browser and avoid clicking links shared on social media or WhatsApp. Never transfer money to bank accounts held in an individual’s name, personal wallets or cryptocurrencies.

Where to donate?
The country’s major cities have set up collection centers where anyone can drop off a donation. In Bogotá there is even this interactive map, showing the centers spread across the urban area.
Collection centers have also been set up in cities such as Medellín, Barranquilla, Cali and Cartagena, many of them open 24 hours. We recommend checking in your browser which ones are still open in your city and what their hours are.
What to donate?
- Basic items: bottled drinking water, blankets, sleeping mats.
- Non-perishable food: Rice, oil, pasta, easy-open canned goods, pulses such as beans and lentils, flour, panela (unrefined cane sugar), powdered milk.
- First-aid supplies: Face masks, sterile gauze, rubbing alcohol, surgical and latex gloves.
- Personal hygiene items: Bath and laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, sanitary pads, toilet paper, diapers for children and adults, wet wipes, diaper-rash cream, baby bottles, sunscreen, razors.
- What NOT to donate: Perishable food, opened or partly used food, water in damaged packaging, opened medicines, used clothing.
How your help makes a difference
In the face of the humanitarian emergency in Colombia, every contribution counts.
Through donations at collection centers and to the various NGOs, your support turns directly into essential assistance for the families and communities most vulnerable to and affected by the earthquake.
