A colonial house located within the main park houses the Salt Museum of the municipality of Nemocón, which is reached after a forty-minute overland trip from Zipaquirá. Here tourists learn about how the indigenous people exploited salt before the Spanish conquistadors arrived, and about the development of the Nemocón Salt Mine.
