In fifteen minutes by car, you can reach the village of Guane from Barichara. It is also possible to go on horseback along the royal road or on foot in two hours. There, on the eastern side of the square, is the Archaeological and Paleontological Museum. This place, created in 1970 by the priest Isaías Ardila Díaz, preserves fossils that are millions of years old, as well as ceramics, necklaces, and other objects from the indigenous Guane people.
